Tips to stop Overthinking:-๐Ÿ˜‰

If youโ€™re prone to overthinking, try the following strategies the next time you find yourself slipping down the slope of rumination.

  • Positive reframing. This is often confused with โ€œtoxic positivity,โ€ which asks people to think positively โ€” no matter how difficult a situation is.
  • Write down your thoughts once, then distract yourself for 24 hours. …
  • Practice ‘specific gratitude’

I really hope that these tips works for you โ˜บ๏ธ

  1. Speaking with patients, when I was a nurse, and the ongoing journeys in positive thinking? It was not ideal approaching illness, troubles and hardships with the โ€˜toxic positiveโ€™ of everything is fine/great! That type of โ€˜goodโ€™ was not possible to maintain. Not healthy either. Being brave in admission whilst being positive in outlook was a far more successful approach. If someone had pain, for example, I didnโ€™t want them to force smile and say โ€˜Oh! Itโ€™s not too bad! Iโ€™ll be okayโ€™. Talk and answers could be sought. Smiling and nodding whilst hurting inside? Then well being is compromised. All the best.
